When you comment on a FP article, you are mostly writing your comment to other readers and commenters, but not usually the author. When you comment on Oppo, your mostly write your comment to the author.... whoa. Unrelated NOM, NOM, Porshce.

That has as much to do with content as setting though.

An FP article is typically just a news story, it doesn't necessarily ask for an opinion. An Oppo post, however, typically asks for opinions.
